What You'll Do

  • Run the daily production schedule to keep projects on track and customers happy.
  • Lead and support a team of skilled technicians-helping them grow while ensuring top-notch results.
  • Oversee body work, remounts, and custom upfits-making sure every detail meets specs and safety standards.
  • Fine-tune shop workflows to boost efficiency, cut down on rework, and speed up turnaround times.
  • Partner with parts and purchasing to make sure the right components are on hand when needed.
  • Keep a close eye on costs, labor, and materials-always looking for ways to stay on budget without cutting corners.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized shop environment where everyone thrives.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production or operations management, preferably in emergency vehicle upfitting, body work, remounts, or a related field such as heavy truck or specialty vehicle repair..
  • Strong understanding of specialty vehicle systems, including structural body repair, electrical wiring, lighting systems, HVAC, and custom equipment installation.
  • A problem-solver with a knack for improving processes and driving efficiency.
  • Someone who values quality, safety, and teamwork as much as hitting deadlines.

ADA Requirements:

* Bend, squat, climb, grasp, twist, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods.

* Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs frequently, or more occasionally.

* Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously.

* Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer.

* Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards including chemicals which may require respiratory protection.

* Travel by car or air occasionally.
